Well-know Comedians from HBO & BET bring a higher standard of local entertainment
It has been said the laughter is the best medicine and at the Pink Lion Jazz Club, we agree 100 percent which is why on the last Thursday of each month, we write a prescription for non stop giggles and gut-splitting laughter with Last Laughs Thursdays.
With Last Laughs Thursday, South Dekalb residents are lucky to have a ready-made source of medicinal laughter right in the heart of the City of Stonecrest at the PLJC inside the New Black Wall Street Market (NBWSM) with Last Laugh Thursdays (LLT).
The monthly Last Laughs Thursday show is hosted and produced by LaMont Ferrell of Last Laughs Entertainment, and it has quickly become a destination event known for always delivering high quality comedic entertainment. Ferrell's production credits include 24 episodes of the hit TV show Girlfriends (2002 - 2003) as well as 22 episodes of the hit show Moesha starring Brandy Norwood, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and William Allen Young among others.
This Month's Last Laughs Thursday show will present headliner, Comedian Steve Brown who has run the gambit of the comedy circuit traveling and performing with the likes of J. Anthony Brown, Eddie Griffin, Martin Lawrence, Bill Bellamy, and Rickey Smiley. In honor of Women's history month, this month's show will also feature up-and-coming comedian Randi Skye,
The PLJC stage has been graced by seasoned comedians like Rodney Perry, who is best known for co-hosting the Mo'Nique show with comedian Mo'Nique in 2009 and for his appearance in Madea's Big Happy Family in 2011. Also a regular face at the PLJC is comedian and actor Palmer Williams Jr. who plays Floyd on Tyler Perry's House of Payne and is a cast member on Tyler Perry's Love Thy Neighbor.
